Tuning the car is an industry that annually seizes large amounts of customers’ pockets. The builders in most seem to ignore this parallel reality of the auto phenomenon. The fact that in the offer of some producers we find esthetic packages that spice up the line outside and inside environments can hardly be not called tuning.

BMW decided to reserve a portion of the financial cake that is consumed in the Tuning cafeteria. That’s why launched the aftersales BMW Performance that goes far beyond of what was until now and is still offered by the Bavarian manufacturer M package. So BMW Performance is even for X6 4.0d. BMW X6 has its share of popularity and success, as confirmed by the intentions of rivals to come up with a competing model. Until then, X6 boasts with accesories from the aftersales Performance range.

The engine delivers a maximum power of 306 hp at 4,400 rpm and a torque of 600 Nm between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm. For a model with a mass of almost 2200 kg, sprint of 6.5 seconds up to 100 km/h definitely impress anyone. X6 certainly could not boast of these achievements without the contribution xDrive system. BMW X6 xDrive40d – from 306 to 340 hp. The German tuners from Lumma Design has given yet another blow to the BMW X6, this time taking the most powerful diesel model, xDrive40d, which is equipped with a twin-turbo of 3.0-liter with six-cylinder, 306-horsepower and 600Nm of torque.

Lumma Design software updated and added a new custom exhaust system, increasing power to 340 horses and 670Nm. Other changes related to the performance include reducing the sports suspension (- 40mm) and 22-inch alloy wheels with tires of 295/30-22 in the front and 335/25-22 on the back.

On the outside they added a new front spoiler with additional LEDs, side skirts with air vents and a redesigned rear spoiler.Numerous pieces of carbon fiber, such as rear spoiler, trunk lid, rear lids are other changes outside of the BMW X6. The black and white design is continued inside, where Lumma Design uses a mixture of carbon fiber, Alcantara and aluminum.

BMW X6 sold twice the initial estimates of BMW from 2008 to now being delivered over 80,000 units. Speculating the potential of this niche, BMW like to introduce another model, a smaller platform derived from the X3, according to Autocar.

The new BMW X3 will be released later this year and depending on public response will be considered a derivative to the X6 sports model.
