Against a ML series, the new ML 63 AMG has a more aggressive spoiler, which gives the curves in favor of sharp edges. However, the ML 63 AMG’s spoiler is quite close in appearance to that of the optional AMG package on any ML, the main differences consisting in placing different type LED position lights, in the presence of an additional splitter and highlighting the three large slots of ventilation.

Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG is also notable with Xenon headlights slightly modified as appearance, by 20-inch wheels with a special design (optional wheels are available 21-inch) or two pairs of rectangular discharge, with a small speaker in the rear spoiler.

Otherwise, Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG counts, as I said, on the elegance and sobriety, detaching from the image of “bad boy” of the rival BMW X5M. Even the interior is designed in a more luxurious, sporty character is highlighted shaped seats or aluminum inserts.

On the technical level, the new Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG marks an evolution from the previous model. V8 twin-turbo engine, 5.5-liter, is stronger by 15 hp and 60 Nm than the other 6.3-liter engine, displaying 518 hp and 700 Nm. The performance announced: 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.

But engineers offers an AMG Performance Package, which includes increasing the maximum power to 550 hp and maximum torque of 760 Nm, which means improving start from 0 to 100 km/h with 0.1 seconds (4.6 seconds), and maximum speed reaches at 280 km/h. AMG Performance Package also means carbon fiber engine cover, painted red brake caliper or wheel with perforated leather special clothing.

The standard automatic gearbox is available with 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS, three programs running and rev-matching function for relegation. In mode C (Controlled Efficiency), the engine benefits from stop-start function, while the box changes at low revs, for as low fuel consumption – average amounts to 14.7 liters/100 km, with 33 % better than the preceding ML 63 AMG.

Mercedes-Benz sent the official prices for the new M-Class that will officially be available for sales on 19 November 2011, thereafter will be delivered and the first cars to customers. The orders can start from now.

Mercedes-Benz ML has always been a success everywhere. From 2005 until now have been officially sold 2118 units of which 40 were top versions of ML 63 AMG. Most versions have been sold but 320 and 350 CDI so that the new model is likely to sell best in six-cylinder diesel version. Although there is now a 250 CDI diesel version likely that most customers will prefer to spend more on the 350.

It is somewhat understandable because the price difference between the two versions is not great. A 250 BlueTEC with 204 hp has a starting price of 55676 euro and a 350 BlueTEC with 258 hp costs 61194 euro. The 350 BlueEFFICIENCY petrol engine with 306 hp has a starting price of 58,776 euro. All three versions are equipped with 4MATIC all-wheel drive and automatic gearbox with 7G-TRONIC seven-PLUS reports.

The optional list is obviously very long. A paint costs 1079 euro and the leather upholstery 1550, 1860 or 2294 euro. The optional packages think that will make headlines, especially on Edition1 that will completely transform the car like the SLK.

The price is around 11780 euro. The AMG exterior package costs 3100 euro and the one that comes with the center differential is called lock ON & OFF ROAD and costs 2356 euro. For it, the suspension AIRMATIC has special settings.

The lighting package includes bi-xenon headlights with adaptive lighting and intelligent that is currently not available due to the problems with suppliers in Japan affected by the tsunami. It will be available in the first quarter of 2012 so all ML’s ordered so far will only have halogen headlights. The daytime lights will have standard Led’s.

So far there were only rumors about Mercedes-Benz GLC, rival for BMW X6. But now the Germans have officially confirmed the wide occurrence of a sporty SUV in response to the X6, but its name will be MLC. This is because will be derived from the Mercedes-Benz ML.

Mercedes-Benz MLC  will be built in Tuscaloosa (Alabama), where the Germans in May build ML, R-Class and GL models and in 2014 there will be assembled an mid-range sedan Mercedes-Benz C-Class, U.S. version.

However, the new Mercedes-Benz MLC will not appear on the market earlier than 2014-2015, some rumors saying that the production model will be heralded at Frankfurt Motor Show concept in 2011, though not officially the sketch seems to be a direct competitor with the BMW X6 model.

According to AutoBild, the new model want to transpose the new MLC 4 door coupe CLS in SUV crossover, so we speak of a life style car, but without the off-road pretensions.

The basic price for the new Mercedes-Benz MLC will be around 62,000 euro and if you peak the AMG version will exceed 100,000 euro. The diesel version will be available even with four cylinders and a hybrid version. The new MLC will provide only 4 seats and a lower trunk than ML, but the interior will focus on luxury and sportiness.

Mercedes-Benz MLC will have an easy life, because at the end of 2012 is scheduled to appear Audi Q6 and in 2014 the Bavarians will launch the second generation of the BMW X6.
