Expect the new 3 Series, however, to stir, to finally bury the new 1 Series sales or look like all Romanians in Dacia Lodgy flock simply because it is a MPV.

It seems that Mercedes-Benz wants to revolutionize the small and compact MPV class with the launch of new premium class B. Not long ago, the Stuttgart manufacturer has published the official release on his official site and the first technical details of the first photo-teaser of the new B. This is higher than the current model, now measuring 4359 mm, 1786 mm wide and 1557 mm high. Only the height is slightly lower than the former model. This change plus the new design of the body means the best aerodynamic coefficient ever obtained in a small van – Cx site has now 0.26 lower than the previous with 0.3.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz promises a package that will be called ECO Technology and will modify such vital body and will reach at incredibly Cx of only 0.24. For this version the ride height will be lower, below the car will be redesigned to be as straight and window seals will allow air flow smoother surface of the machine. If the new B will have that drag coefficient it will be more efficient than the current Toyota Prius, which now has a value of 0.25.

For those who are interested in a more sporty driving style, Mercedes-Benz promises that driving position will be lower by 86 millimeters and thus the driver will not feel as driving a van. There will be optional Sport package that will lower the ride height by 20 millimeters and have a steering system changed. In terms of engines, the engine under the hood will be offered in four-cylinder turbocharged. 1.6-liter gasoline engine will produce 122 PS and 200 announced Nm but will have a more powerful version of 156 hp and 250 Nm. These two engines will be under B 180 and B 200 signs. For diesel fans will be offered B 180 CDI and B 200 CDI. They will have 109 hp and 136 hp and 250 Nm 300 Nm respectively. It is announced a gasoline engine top two-liter displacement, but more details were not announced yet.

Mercedes-Benz Viano has earned a reputation as a “shuttle premium”, giving passengers more comfort and space. But now, at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, they will make a step further, proposing a luxurious concept: Pearl Vision Concept Viano.

Do not think of a car with an extravagant form, because we are talking basically a concept of development and ultra endowment of Mercedes-Benz Viano. The designer has a free hand and was inspired by the luxury yachts, in fact, is called the Pearl Vision Viano Mercedes-Benz as a “yacht on wheels”. The body is painted with a special shade Magno Pearl Grey and the wheels also have a specially designed for this model. Front bumper and grille are slightly modified to a better accommodate with ocean theme and in the bottom are integrated LED position lights.

Pearl Vision Viano’s interior gives a true royal fans elegance, luxury and good taste. For now, we do not know if Pearl Vision Mercedes-Benz Viano will remain only at the demonstration stage or will be found as an exclusive line of optional equipment on some models. In this case, the car will come at a price worthy of luxury limousines.

So far there were only rumors about Mercedes-Benz GLC, rival for BMW X6. But now the Germans have officially confirmed the wide occurrence of a sporty SUV in response to the X6, but its name will be MLC. This is because will be derived from the Mercedes-Benz ML.

Mercedes-Benz MLC  will be built in Tuscaloosa (Alabama), where the Germans in May build ML, R-Class and GL models and in 2014 there will be assembled an mid-range sedan Mercedes-Benz C-Class, U.S. version.

However, the new Mercedes-Benz MLC will not appear on the market earlier than 2014-2015, some rumors saying that the production model will be heralded at Frankfurt Motor Show concept in 2011, though not officially the sketch seems to be a direct competitor with the BMW X6 model.

According to AutoBild, the new model want to transpose the new MLC 4 door coupe CLS in SUV crossover, so we speak of a life style car, but without the off-road pretensions.

The basic price for the new Mercedes-Benz MLC will be around 62,000 euro and if you peak the AMG version will exceed 100,000 euro. The diesel version will be available even with four cylinders and a hybrid version. The new MLC will provide only 4 seats and a lower trunk than ML, but the interior will focus on luxury and sportiness.

Mercedes-Benz MLC will have an easy life, because at the end of 2012 is scheduled to appear Audi Q6 and in 2014 the Bavarians will launch the second generation of the BMW X6.

Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG will be presented in world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011. But until then, here are the first details about this model.

Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG expected to get the V8 with 5461 cc direct injection, code-named M152. An engine that displays very good value for a sports car: 422 CP/6.800 rpm respectively 540 Nm/4.500 rpm maximum torque.

In fact, we are talking about the same unit of the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG, but with many changes: lack of turbochargers, new intake system, a new fuel pump or longer valves. V8 engine proves very easy through the use of aluminum, with only 187 kg and piezoelectric injectors are capable of 200 bar pressure.

One of the strengths of the new V8′s SLK 55 AMG in the fight against CO2 emissions is the only operating system with 4 cylinders, system borrowed from Formula 1. Depending on conditions of use and speed of the car, the central control unit command decoupling for a half of the injectors, in “C” mode (Controlled Efficiency) of the automatic gearbox.

Basically, four-cylinder engine only works on a range of speeds between 800 and 3600 rpm, maximum torque available in this case its 230 Nm, enough to run at low speed in town or cruising on the highway. After 3600 rpm in just 30 milliseconds become operational the other cylinders (2, 3, 5 and 8), in a manner imperceptible to the driving.

The entire system is equipped with Start & Stop system plus one energy recovery from braking. Therefore, although the power it’s higher with 62 HP, consumption was reduced by 30% compared to previous generation of Mercedes-Benz SLK AMG: 8.5 liter / 100 km compared to 12 liters per 100 kilometers (CO2 emissions now amounts to 199 g / km and the engine is compatible with Euro 5).

Also at Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, the Germans will also present the most economical version of their Roadster: Mercedes-Benz SLK 250 CDI equipped with common-rail engine 2.1-liter with 204 hp and 500 Nm. The SLK will show 5.0 liters/100km average consumption and 130 g / km CO2 emissions.
